Newtown GAA Dads & Lads training on Wednesday evening – recently they were delighted to have Maric from Turkey join them🖤 He even went on to win the cross bar challenge 👏🏻
Come join the team for some social football and meet new people. No previous playing experience required and no minimum level of fittness Training every Wednesday at 7.30pm

Ben Bayle, James Clayton, Abby Murphy and Shane Murphy promoted to 1st degree by Master JB McCarthy 8th degree examiner with Mick Whelan 5th degree instructor in attendance. Well done to everyone and big thanks to Master JB McCarthy who travelled up from Cork to test our students

Newtown Juniors on 14th March staged a fundraiser in aid of the club & Pieta House. With a loan of 2 Spinning Bikes from the Glenview Hotel Leisure Centre we had 38 half hour slots to fill & fill them we did. Thanks to the generosity of the customers from Dunnes Stores we raised just short of €2,500. We have many people to thank for the success of this venture and those who contributed in any way on the day.

Newtown Juniors FC held our annual SPIN-A-THON outside Dunnes Stores in aid of Newtown Sensory Stars. We would like to thank everyone that donated and more importantly our spinners, it wouldn’t have happened without you all. Also a big Shout-out to Anton from Myfitt Newtown for the use of the spin bikes!
We are delighted to say we raised a massive €1,360.00 for Newtown Sensory Stars.
As a club and I’m sure we can speak on behalf of everyone in the town we would like to say a huge thank you to Newtown Sensory Stars for making our town more inclusive.
Special thank you to Aoife Nolan who is the back bone of this group along with Ann-Marie Kelly and the rest of the Mams and Dads from Sensory Stars.
