With the clocks going back on Sunday 25th October, the Newtown Community Forum is launching a road safety campaign aimed at pedestrians.
Free high visibility vests will be given in the Community Centre on Saturday 7th November between 11.30am and 1.30pm.
As part of the Be Bright Be Seen campaign, a colouring competition is now opened to all children of Newtownmountkennedy, with two categories:
– Age between 2 and 8
– Age between 8 and 14
Prizes to be won for each category.
To enter the competition, children are invited to draw a picture about how to make Newtown safer for pedestrians, and return to Eugene’s by Friday 6th November 12pm. Please ensure that your child’s name is written clearly at the back, together with your mobile number.
The winners will be announced on Saturday 7th November at the Community Centre.
