Thank you so much to everyone who helped make our Community Groups Open Day in Newtown such a success!

There were 26 groups there from in and around the town, and a steady stream of residents, old and new, all morning. It was great to see the networking between groups and see people signing up for new activities.

Whether sport or crafts or planning for the town, groups like these are what make a community, not just a cluster of houses, and we’re very lucky to have a really big range in Newtown, along with some new ones just starting!

The day was such a success there has already been talk of making it an annual thing… I suggested maybe every two years
