The Newtownmountkennedy Events Committee has launched a new community website designed to act as a vibrant Digital Town Square for residents, visitors, and local businesses. The platform brings together local information, business listings, community groups, and events in one easy-to-use hub.

The Newtownmountkennedy Events Committee say the goal is to strengthen the town’s economy and community spirit by making it easier for people to discover what Newtownmountkennedy has to offer. Key features include:

• Supporting local business: Dedicated “Special Offers” and “Eat, Drink & Stay” sections encourage people to shop and spend locally.

• Connecting the community: A “Town Groups & Community” section helps residents find clubs, organisations, and volunteer opportunities, along with an S.O.S. support section.

• Showcasing the town: “Explore” and “In Focus” pages highlight local heritage, scenery, and attractions, alongside a live News & Events calendar.

They describe the website as a living platform and are encouraging residents to contribute by submitting new businesses, groups, and hidden gems to ensure the town’s best features are always represented.
